Michael Nestor is an Audio Engineer based in Galway, Ireland. He is a qualified Avid Pro Tools operator with a first-class honours degree in audio engineering. Michael mixes more than 185 live events per year. His touring experience covers a wide range of live performance genres. Michael has mixed everything from large format international festivals to exclusive concerts for audiences which have included US President Barack Obama, former US President Bill Clinton and HRH Prince Albert of Monaco.
Women of Ireland’s digital audio setup is state-of-the-art. The show runs 32 playback channels from Avid Pro Tools 11 over the Dante protocol in tandem with 40 live inputs on stage. The FOH console is a 72-input CL5, which is the latest technology from Yamaha. The flexibility and latency of this setup introduces studio control to the live environment.
